Terms and Conditions

Clause 1:  Commencement and scheduling of roof restoration works highlighted in this Quote is subject to payment of an acceptance deposit, being 10% of quoted price.  Acceptance monies to be paid direct to M & M Roofing Pty Ltd via internet banking– BSB: 062-692 Account: 35334912 – Payment Reference (Surname and Quote No).  Alternate payment methods of payment accepted: – Visa/Mastercard – Cash/Cheque.

Payment of the required acceptance deposit monies represents that the Customer/Homeowner referred to in this Quote as (Customer) has read and accepts all terms and conditions and enters into a binding agreement with the (Company) – M & M Roofing Pty Ltd – ABN:  16 623 985 875.

Clause 2: Cancellation of roof restoration works by Customer/Homeowner will result in forfeit of any acceptance deposit monies paid, subject to any cooling off period if applicable.  Where cancellation is within any cooling off period, any refund to be paid to the Customer/Homeowner will be subject to an administration fee and the QBCC Home Warranty Insurance premium paid by M & M Roofing Pty Ltd.  A refund application for the QBCC premium paid by M & M Roofing Pty Ltd must be lodged and approved by the QBCC prior to reimbursement to the Customer/Homeowner.

Clause 3:  Payment for the balance of monies owing against any issued Invoice is strictly on completion of roof restoration works. The Customer /Homeowner agrees to pay the full amount owing under this quote and any variations to the original quote that have been invoiced.  Payment of final account can be made via Internet Banking Transfer to the Account of M & M Roofing Pty Ltd – BSB: 062-692 ACCOUNT:   35334912 – Lodgement Reference (Surname and Quote #). Alternate methods of payment accepted are Visa/Mastercard – Cash/Cheque. (NB:  Credit Card payments on final balance are subject to a 1.5% payment processing fee.)

Clause 4:  Customer/Homeowner is responsible for the supply of power and water charges during the process of roof restoration works within this quote & work order.

Clause 5:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd do not accept responsibility for damages incurred to external fixtures and fittings that are found to be either unsound, weathered or not maintained.

Clause 6: M & M Roofing Pty Ltd do not accept responsibility for motor vehicles that are at risk of being soiled during the roof restoration.  The Customer/Homeowner acknowledges that all motor vehicles, caravans or equipment house outside are either removed away from property or protected with appropriate cover against dirty water or overspray that may present itself during roof restoration works.

Clause 7: M & M Roofing Pty Ltd do not accept responsibility for damage that may occur to guttering found to be rusted or weathered from age.

Clause 8: M & M Roofing Pty Ltd during the roof restoration process use materials that comply with the building industry standards.  Customer/Homeowner acknowledges and accepts that some roof tile profiles especially on older homes are no longer available from manufacturers and are therefore sourced from roof tiling suppliers as second hand roof tiles and are based on availability.

Clause 9:  Where roof repairs only are required, M & M Roofing Pty Ltd cannot not guarantee the colour of roof tiles used during a “Repairs Only” work order.  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd will ensure roof tiles are sectioned out to give a neat and consistent finish to the overall appearance of roof.  Where roof tiles are to be colour matched to existing roof surface – additional charges apply.

Clause 10:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd warrant the workmanship for any repair work of the roof restoration within this quote and work order for a period of 10 years. 

Clause 11:  Material warranty for all roof coatings applied during a roof restoration is provided by the manufacturer. The material warranty period is dependent on the coating system and combination of products applied to the roof surface and varies between 10-20 years. All roof coatings used by M & M Roofing Pty Ltd in the roof restoration process are applied strictly to Manufacturer’s specifications. 

Clause 12:  Any workmanship or material warranty becomes void where the workmanship or coating system applied has been found to be tampered with, accidentally damaged or altered by the Customer/Homeowner or any other person or thing unauthorised by M & M Roofing Pty Ltd.

Clause 13:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd do not provide guarantees or warrant against leak issues post roof restoration.  Leaks identified during any storms or heavy rainfall can be inspected to determine the actual cause and are subject to a call out fee of $175.00.  Where Additional Repairs are found necessary outside of the original quote and work order completed, additional charges for materials and labour will Apply.

Clause 14: M & M Roofing Pty Ltd cannot provide any guarantees or warrant against roof issues located under any solar panels or solar hot water systems.  Additional charges will apply where post roof restoration issues present themselves to roof areas around solar panels/solar hot water and that could not be directly attended to during original scope of works.  It is recommended to remove solar panels/solar hot water pre roof restoration to ensure any broken roof tiles, if any, are replaced during the roof restoration process. Solar installations post roof restoration can result in minor damages to roof tiles and/or roof coating.  Any additional roof repairs found to be necessary post roof restoration will be at charge of Customer/Home Owner or Solar Contractor.

Clause 15:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd do not provide guarantees or warrant against mould growth.  Mould growth occurs as a result of mould spores – dirt and moisture.  Home maintenance is the responsibility of the Customer/Homeowner.

Clause 16:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd do not provide guarantees or warrant against fading.  Fading is a natural process that occurs over time where coloured substrates are exposed to the sun or harsh weather conditions.

Clause 17:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd recommend that the Customer/Homeowner carries out maintenance of the roof annually.  Keep trees pruned back and away from roof – clean out gutters to prevent blockages and lightly wash roof surface to remove any buildup of dirt and prevent contaminants settling onto the roof coating.

Clause 18:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd reserve the right to refuse to carry out roof restoration works under this quote and work order for any reason.  Where cancellation of this quote and work order is at the refusal of M & M Roofing Pty Ltd, any acceptance deposit monies will be refunded in full – subject to any QBCC Home Warranty Insurance Premium Refund Application Approval.

Clause 19:  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd is a Licensed member with the QBCC (Queensland Building and Construction Commission).  M & M Roofing Pty Ltd where being the principal contractor is responsible for submitting payment of the applicable premium under this quote and work order. Home Warranty Insurance applies for all Residential Works (RWC) where the RWC component of a work order exceeds the threshold of $3,300-00 applied by the QBCC.
